EMBLEMS

Cathedral and La Giralda

This immense cathedral is awe-inspiring and an endureng emblem for Seville and is like a little world on its own.

With 80 different chapels and being the world’s largest Gothic cathedral, more than 500 years ago now remains of what had previously been the city’s main mosque.

The Giralda bell tower with is the catedral minaret of the mosque built in the 12th century by Almohad Moorish rulers.

This 93-meter-high tower is awe-inspiring and curious about as instead of a stairway that leads you to the top there are 34 ramps which is pretty unusual. But once you get to the top, the view is better than you could hope for.

EMBLEMS

Real Alcázar

This amazing palace complex UNESCO-listed was developed by Pedro the Cruel during the 14th-century and it really is a breathtaking spectacle. Nowadays its still in use by the Spanish royal family: their chambers, state rooms and halls are on the upper level and can be viewed if you pay a little extra.

Walk around its beautiful courtyard and surround yourself in the lush greenery of the sprawling gardens.

EMBLEMS

Barrio de Santa Cruz

Located between the  cathedral and the Alcazar of Seville, the Barrio de Santa Cruz is one of the most charming neighborhoods to explore in Seville.

This old-fashioned charmed area, used to be  the Jewish quarter during the medieval era under Moorish rule.

Characterized by its labyrinth of cobblestone pedestrian lanes (too narrow for cars), houses with attractive patios, and picturesque plazas and outdoor cafés.

EMBLEMS

Plaza de España & Maria Luisa Park

The palace in Plaza de España contains many of the city’s administrative buildings, but the reason to visit is to walk beneath the gallery.

Using typical Sevillian azulejos (colourful painted tiles) these displays showcase details like the local food and famous monuments in each part of the country.

This colossal monument was built in 1929 for the Seville’s hosting of the Ibero-American Exposition in the Maria Luisa Park, which is one of Seville’s most impressive landmarks because of its scale and grandeur, the largest green space ad botanical garden in central Seville.

A monumental fountain is a graceful centerpiece of the square, while the peaceful canal is crossed by four footbridges. Tourists can rent a rowboat for the afternoon to experience the “Venice of Seville” or opt for an equally romantic horse-drawn carriage ride through the park.

Simply one of those parks with a pleasant surprise down every path, from ornamental ponds, pavilions, sculptures or tiled fountains surrounded with beautiful tall palm trees, flowers, greenery stitching along the banks of the Guadalquivir river.

EMBLEMS

Triana

The Triana neighborhood is located at the  left bank of the Guadalquivir, on the opposite the old quarter and its with any doubt and of the city’s most distinctive attractions.

The main way in is via the Isabel Bridge close to the bullfighting arena. This area is strongly associated with Sevillana culture, painted ceramics, “tablaos” and flamenco, holding one of the most photographed statues in the city of a flamenco dancer.

EMBLEMS

Tablaos, flamenco and bull-ring

All year long there are flamenco shows happening across the city on any evening. A tablao is a good way to watch a show, with live musicians and either a bar or restaurant service in the most local and authentically way.
